KIC Members Visit to NIC Islamabad
As part of our continuous efforts to strengthen incubation practices and foster innovation, members of the KIC team recently visited the National Incubation Center (NIC) in Islamabad. This visit was designed to learn from one of Pakistan’s most successful incubation models and explore future collaboration opportunities.
The NIC team graciously hosted our delegation and provided an in-depth overview of their incubation framework, including the startup selection process, development and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), strategies to address startup dropouts, and best practices for ensuring successful incubation outcomes.
The session also included a detailed briefing on NIC’s ongoing projects, organizational structure, and strategic goals for the future. KIC members engaged in thoughtful discussions and gained valuable insights on incubation models, operational workflows, and the design thinking approaches adopted by NIC.
This experience proved highly enriching for our team and will directly inform the refinement of processes at KIC. It also reinforced the importance of structured mentorship, clear evaluation metrics, and sustainable growth pathways for startups in the southern KP region.
KIC looks forward to translating these learnings into impactful programs and building strong ties with leading innovation centers like NIC Islamabad.
